Savage Gear - Corkscrew

If you fish with loose hooks on your soft bait, you can use a corkscrew to add an eye to the soft bait, allowing you to make your rig semi-fixed.

This works fine for many soft baits, but you can often improve your landing speed even further by using a release rig with semi-fixed hooks.

If you use a Softbait Release Connector without a fixing pin, you need a corkscrew to attach the Softbait Release Connector to the soft bait.

For this purpose, the Savage Gear Corkscrew with a 1.0 mm thread diameter is perfect – and has the right diameter to fit into the hole of the Softbait Release Connector.

All you have to do is cut off the eye with pliers, apply a drop of super glue or even better epoxy glue to the tip of the straight end of the corkscrew.

Insert it into the hole of the Softbait Connector and wait for the glue to dry. Screw the corkscrew into the soft bait, attach the hook - and you are ready to fish.
